The Walkthrough Aplication in Large 3D Terrain
Panáček, Petr ; Mikolov, Tomáš (referee) ; Bartoň, Radek (advisor)
Rendering of large terrain is common problem in 3D computer graphics. Even if we have high-tech hardware equipment today, there is still a lot of high computational demand. Therefore new algorithms are developed. These algorithms include level of detail rendering and culling objects in dependence on view of camera. This bachelor thesis describes one of these algorithms and its modifications. Part of the problem is also creation of tiles hierarchy for these algorithms. Result of the thesis is application implemented in OpenSceneGraph.
The USB Oscilloscope and Logic Analyzer with a Microprocessor
Pešl, Jiří ; Magát, Martin (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is design of electronic measurement and diagnostic device to a computer or any other portable device as are modern mobile phones and PDAs. Designed system will be measure analog periodical signals in time in currently used ranges and discrete logic signals. Signals will be restored and displayed on the screen of any other device. Wherewith designed device will be communicate through USB 2.0 or Bluetooth interface.
Sampling Rate Conversion
Hylmar, Petr ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on sampling rate conversion by a rational factor interpolation and decimation and sampling rate coversion by an arbitrary factor interpolation and decimation. There are described methods sampling rate conversion in time domain based on lowpass FIR linear filter and in spectral domain based on zero spectral lines. These methods are created in Matlab programming and tested on particular example. The results of this thesis are sensible parameter lowpass FIR linear filter for sampling rate conversion and discussion success rate used methods.
Sampling Rate Conversion
Chrobák, Martin ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is engaged in design of procedure for change of sampling rate of EKG signal using 3 methods: with positive integer factor D/I, with any factor (I=8) and with any factor (I=16). Sampling rate conversion should be realized from 500 to 360 Hz and from 360 to 500 Hz in time and frequency part of signal. For this, it is used a professional computing interface of MATLAB, which is perfect for processing of signals. The output from this work should be recommendation which filters (with how long impulse characteristics) are useful for this change of sampling rate.
Image flow time sampling
Němec, Miroslav ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Drastich, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this Master’s thesis is to develop a theoretical introduction to the issue of the image flow time sampling, taking into account the various factors that affect sampling. Furthermore, there is proposed idea diagram of the model, which will simulate the events described, and created the model in the programming environment Matlab. Finally, there are defined the labs that will support teaching dealing with the imaging systems.
Real-Time Generation of Band-Limited Digital Audio Signals
Maule, Petr ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with the generation of digital audio signals with band-limited frequency spectrum, i.e. without the aliasing distortion. Various methods of generating band-limited rectangular, triangular, and sawtooth waveforms are described in the theoretical part. The described methods are programmed in the Matlab programming environment and compared in terms of real-time parameter changes, such as duty cycle change of rectangular waveform or continuous change of frequency. The main part of the thesis describes implementation of methods of successive integration of band-limited impulse train and method of differentiated parabolic waveforms in C++ language. The implemented methods were integrated into a plug-in of VST technology that generates an audio signal in real time. The implemented methods are compared in terms of computational complexity and distortion of the generated signal.
Online detection of simple voice commands in audiosignal
Zezula, Miroslav ; Březina, Lukáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes the development of voice module, that can recognize simple speech commands by comparation of input sound with recorded templates. The first part of thesis contains a description of used algorithm and a verification of its functionality. The algorithm is based on Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients and dynamic time warping. Thereafter the hardware of voice module is designed, containing signal controller 56F805 from Freescale. The signal from microphone is conditioned by operational amplifiers and digital filter. The third part deals with the development of software for the controller and describes the fixed point implementation of the algorithm, respecting limited capabilities of the controller. Final test proves the usability of voice module in low-noise environment.
Practical examples of signal processing
Hanzálek, Pavel ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the issue of signal processing. Using practical examples, it tries to show the use of individual signal processing operations from a practical point of view. For each of the selected signal processing operations, an application is created in MATLAB, including a graphical interface for easier operation. The division of the thesis is such that each chapter is first analyzed from a theoretical point of view, then it is shown using a practical demonstration of what the operation is used in practice. Individual applications are described here, mainly in terms of how they are handled and their possible results. The results of the practical part are presented in the attachment of the thesis.
Interactive web applications supporting education
Kratoš, Filip ; Koldovský, Zbyněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This term paper is focused on design of web applets using Javascript. It deals with design of six applets works with one-dimensional signals, especially audio-signals. The applets are Combination of Signals, Summation of Sine and Cosine Functions, Signal Filtering, Effect of Phase on Audio-signal, Effect of Aliasing, and Linear and Nonlinear Systems. Main themes of the paper are theoretical background for applets, implementation of one applet and design of the interfaces of other applets.
